We meet on the second Saturday of each month to critique each other’s work in progress, hear the latest updates from the writing world, celebrate our successes, and offer encouragement.
Only members may be critiqued.
Non-members are invited to observe for two free visits. Observing twice gives you the opportunity to determine if we’re the group for you and learn our system.
You do not have to wait to join, however. You can visit www.word-weavers.com and register under our chapter name (Word Weavers Madison).

Manuscript format:
- Double spaced
- Times New Roman font
- 12 point
- Black ink
- 1,500 word limit
- Lines numbered (Word Weavers Instructions for Line Numbering)
- Six copies (You’ll need these to hand out to those who’ll critique. We often have six in each group, but we won’t put more than six critiquers into a group.
Content Guidelines:
no profanity, illicit sexual content, or content outside the generally
accepted norm for Christian publishing. You are not required to write
Christian material nor be a Christian to be a member, but we are a
Christian organization, and thus, we follow Christian publishing
standards.
